Chiefly letters to Bliss Perry, the bulk of which date from the years when he edited The Atlantic Monthly. They relate mainly to editorial matters but also include comments on Perry's own writings. The Atlantic Monthly material does not represent all of Perry's editorial correspondence but seems to be a selection of the more prominent contributors.
